Biological-technical assistant (m/f/d) 

Livin Farms is a young startup company with offices in Vienna and Hong Kong. We are developing innovative technology for alternative protein production (insects), for sustainably feeding the world.

Your profile:

  • Largely completed or completed training (scientific training, such as FMS, Matura or studies with a focus on zoology/entomology, agricultural sciences, food technology, laboratory training, or similar)
  • Interest in working with animals (harmless insects)
  • Analytical thinking
  • Detail-oriented and independent work style
  • A big plus, but not a requirement: Previous knowledge of or interest in plant or animal breeding (agriculture, aquaponics, hydroponics, or similar)
  • PC skills: MS Office/Libre Office, Basic Data Analysis
  • Good English proficiency
  • Good problem solving skills 
  • Good communication skills
  • High willingness to learn and work in a team 

Your tasks:

  • Assistance in the planning, execution, and evaluation of scientific experiments
  • Experimental Data management
  • Keep up- to-date with research on insect farming
  • Maintaining insect colony for research
  • Safety/order/Cleanliness in research lab

Das Gehalt wird an deine tatsächlichen Qualifikationen und fachspezifischen Erfahrungen angepasst und kann daher darüber liegen. Ein kollektivvertragliche Mindestgehalt für diese Position beträgt € 1.740,00 brutto pro Monat.
